The Farm Bill funds the USDA agriculture and nutrition programs. This presentation puts the Farm Bill funding into context with the overall Federal spending budget. Negotiations on the 2018 Farm Bill began in 2012, taking over five years to complete with a five year funding horizon that ended in September 2023. Interim funding through 2024 was pass by Congress, and another interim funding package will have to be passed in the fall of 2024 pending passage of the actual Farm Bill during the 119th Congress in 2025 or 2026.
